You love to experience the richness of the outer world while exploring the depth of your inner world every step of the way. You are content to be in a park, museum, or in nature by yourself, soaking in the surroundings or getting lost in thought. It is not that you do not enjoy meeting new people or being in a crowded open square, in fact, you foster a deep sense of curiosity about yourself and the world around you. However, you do not need other people to walk with you every step of the way in order to feel fulfilled in your journey. Your sense of independence gives you the freedom to change your mind at will or to be meticulous about following your original plan. It is sometimes difficult for you to be vulnerable with other people or to compromise in the big and small things. Yet, one of your greatest assets as a traveler is your keen sense of intuition and a clarity about who you are and where you are going, on the road as well as in life. It is something others will aspire to follow.

Nomads often see things others do not because they have developed a keen sense of observation and cultivated the ability to take calculated risks when necessary to accomplish something extraordinary. This is obviously a gift to be celebrated but it makes it difficult for the Nomad to have a harmonious experience with a travel companion or group. Additionally, without the wise counsel of others, it is easier to make mistakes or take on more than one can handle in a given moment. The Nomad can thrive when given autonomy but is also willing to take risks on occasion by opening up to other people and learning from their path as well.
Nomads travel well with the Seeker, Investigator, Global Citizen, Conquistador and Aesthetic as long as it is understood that there is no guarantee for long-term or future joint travel plans and each person is expected to make individual decisions. For this reason, The Nomad and Co-Pilot may have difficulties at first working through their expectations of the other travel partner. The Nomad is the most similar to the Aesthetic and and Investigator.
